US AND OUR ORIGINS
Sids Slipper

its little, slow, and leaky...

(We're a team that is of the, " F@#& you if you can't take a joke!" mindset, and when good ol' Sid attended the Corolla Fun-fest with the Kookoo boys, he quickly was told by some ignorant fool with a stock Ol' school supra that, "That cars not a Toyota",  and that he was gonna have Sids car removed from the car show.Of course being the spiteful bunch we are we decided that to make his car a Toyota Model car. I dug through my car and found a Levin emblem. You know the rare and hard to find emblems that any one of the guys at the meet woulda killed for. I placed it on the ground and stomped the screw mount off the back and we taped it to Sids car. When Moto-P, (Club4ag founder) found out about it he checked it out and shrugged it off.Kinda chuckled and said he would be right back! He would momentarily return with a gripof stickers and commence to plaster Sids Miata....Er' I mean Levin with all sorts of stickers. From there on out further showing that fat twit he wasn't gonna ruin our day. We hope we ruined yours Buddy!! Cause Team Hinga took every thing that was up for a prize except for the car show that day...And on top of that, I even gave you my own personal vote from the show cause that weak fat turd of yours was gonna need it!)

YOU KNOW THE DEAL ...WHO, WHAT,WHEN, WHERE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY WHY!?

This is a terribly long story, but in most cases it's one that should be known because a teams history is its future. So bear with me (Booney) and I'll tell ya all about how we the Team Hinga Cali chapter came into existence.

2000

In the summer of 2000, I met The Velocity Racing Team Chapter and soon became really close friends with them. Later you'll find that through this connection Team Hinga Cali would be formed of  3 members of the dieing Velocity Cali Crew (VRTMike, VRT Sid and myself, VRTBlacksheep) as I made my transition to Okinawa I was made a member of Velocity which I still represent today.

**Due to being a member of a team and in a diffrent country across the world I took on the moniker, "Blacksheep". I dunno why Mike and Sid chose their names as such....You'll have to ask them.

2001

In 2001, I was stationed back in Okinawa where I met a friend named Rob"Fat Daddy" Lambeth through a former military student and then junior Marine named, "Ernie Fixmer". I was introduced to him and in time I would find that he was the most knowledgeable person their that spoke English and more or less, I worked long night hours with him in a garage to learn every little dirty hachi roku trick I could. Engine swaps, suspension swaps body repair, ...You name it and about a million paint jobs later I wouldlearn all I could about hachi-rokus and other popular drift cars as well as a few other oddities.

Every so often I'd run into this wild-ass lunatic named, "Chris" that drove a Levin coupe that was apparently a work in progress. He was a local from what I had heard that had left and returned as a an Airman in the Air Force. He was home and had picked up some rat trap that he was gonna make into one tough little monster. I'd later come to find that he was a local on a well known Hachi-Roku website that I frequented then and we started talkin about everything there in related.

In the beginning I had grown to wanna beat the guy down for his trash talking and over the top attitude, but we had it out and in the end it came to form one of my best frinedships to date. Literally we treat each other as a brother. During that time him and a friend formed the current Team Hinga in Okinawa and from there it was a landslide...They picked up a grip of people from all walks of life and with one sick common interest. Drifting. In time I would be drug into this malay and found it a comfortable and safe setting. With our military ties and being overseas we formed a close bound and an inseperable attitude. When one person needed help the entire team could be found at Fat Daddies Shop (work permitting) working often times in adverse conditions until the sun came up and if you have weathered out typhoons, pitch black junkyards and Okinawan pteradactyl-sized mosquitoes you'd understand why we were so tight as friends. From then on the debauchery that you'll find on the web by just typing in our team name is the type of wild and also dangerous nights that ensued. You name it from cars broken control arms to all out roll overs, were were involved in it....all on private sanctioned track events and courses.

OCT 2004

Team Hinga attends its first event and although not driving due to being a buncha poor bastards we managed to show up and park our filthy cars there and enter into the car show..we also snuck a Miata into the all Toyota line-up and it can be seen above. In the end we had the strongest showing of the teams and although not the shiny poodle cars the car scene is characteristic for here in cali the Hinga cars turned a few heads...Sometimes in curiosity, more often then not in utter disgust. We with our filthy cars and leaves trapped in our engine bays from our many local forest and wildlife preserve cruises just weren't the epitome of Corolla life. Oh well, we took all the prizes (That never surfaced) from the Club4ag Toyota Trivia test. Much to my delite the other corolla guys were actually muttering no more S.Diego guys!! We left with a grip of goodies and a future of never seen Tires and an R-SR exhaust that would never surface.

NOV 2004

We part ways with one of the original members of the Team Hinga Cali Crew Beau over personal reasons, but he is still accepted and openly invited to our house and home when he can find time in his terrible schedule. I dunno if it's still around but Beaus site is: www.evil86.50megs.com . Beaus is and was a terribly hard working and loyal friend that always was here to lend a helping hand. He has one of the nicest Coupes around and when I drove it, I swore I was riding in my old coupe in Japan. We wish him the best of luck in his endeavors and hope we get to drive with him soon again.

Oops..where the time go!!    APRIL 2004

I'm forced out've Okinawa and I'm planted in California with one thing in mind. Finding my old crew and picking up where it left off with the inclusion of my newest team. As most know when your far away the news doesn't travel fast and I came home to see that most of the Velocity team had disbanded due to uncontrollable reasons. When I came home I looked at my closest friends that were still around and the wheels started turning. With our old ties and friends support I'd do as I promised Chris. I would take the demon seed and plant it here on Californias shores. Due to the distances from each member I had to learn to accept that we wouldn't be as active as Okinawa, but we would operate as a Team as often as it was permitted. With that I started to actively seek ot those people I thought were hard hitters and not any bit B.S. artists that you commonly find in the scene here and recruited them one by one. I still have a few more I want to take in but in due time.! As I always told the impatient one,"Ernie".

"It's all a matter of time!"
